3D Claying: 3D Printing and Recycling Clay

Clay is of great interest as a 3D printing material thanks to its ease use, recyclability and reusability. This paper analyses the technical aspects whole process. The behaviour clay studied with respect environment specific application temporary or definitive formwork system for cement parts. study addresses performance loss properties characteristics according type protection, whether it in direct contact air cement, protected plastics, metal sheets, combinations both. A various printers models has been considered, observing relationship between prototype shape, extrusion process resulting material. most important variables have considered: layer height, line thickness, base definition, total model overhang angles, overlap layers, etc. main analysed such raw properties, kneading, control, post-treatments hardening. As natural material, can be reused indefinitely under certain conditions part circular economy low energy consumption minimal resources. It concluded that option using ceramics very diverse uses architecture, engineering & construction (AEC) sector promising due their implementation, recycling capability suitability different environments.
